Corporate Angel Tree Program

  • You are invited to experience the joy of Christmas giving this season by being a part of our Angel Tree & Stocking Program.

Because we serve more than 4,000 families in the Tulsa metropolitan area through our Angel Tree & Stocking programming, we must begin early! Applications for Christmas assistance began in September and are continuing through October. This early start allows us to get participants the number of angels and stockings requested by November 1.

The way our Corporate Angel Tree & Stocking Program works is simple. Companies, church groups, families or clubs request the number of angels and stockings they would like to make available for adoption to the group’s employees and/or members. The angels and empty stockings are picked up from The Salvation Army beginning November 1 and then display them so that your employees or group members have the opportunity to pick out and adopt an angel and/or choose to fill a stocking. They shop for gift(s) for their angel and fillings for the stockings, then return them to the group sponsor or employer in time to be delivered to our Christmas Joy Center by December 8. The gift(s) are then distributed to the needy in our community at our Christmas Joy Center.

Prior participants will notice the addition of stockings. Last year The Salvation Army distributed nearly 2,000 stockings to children through our Angel Tree program and at our First Annual Community CarolSing. We are asking supporters to also consider offering stockings to your employees and group members to adopt as well. While many people will choose to do both, the stockings allow those whose budgets cannot support an Angel, to participate in this giving program via a stocking.

And we do need your help. In 2016 we distributed gifts to 9,450 Angel Tree recipients through 4,023 families. Businesses and supporters such as yourself generously gave from their hearts so that these children and senior citizens would have a good Christmas.
